MOON FESTIVAL
The Moon Festival is on the 15th of the 8th Lunar Calender. It is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Moon Festival is one of the important traditional events for the chinese and many other countries like Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore.
TheMoon Festival is an occasion for family reunions, when the fool moon rises families get together to watch the moon, eat moon cakes, and sing moon poems.
The moon Festival is also a romantic evant. Lovers can spend a romantic time together eating moon cakes while watching the fool moon. Even if the lovers cant be together they still can watch the moon at the same time so it seems they are together at the same hour.
There's lots of legendary stories for this event,and here is one of them;
Legend say's that a beautiful woman(Chang E) and a wife of an archer (Hou Yi) who stool a medicine that prolong life from goddess, decided to drink that medicine to save people from his harsh abuse rules. After taking that medicine she was able to fly, and she flew to the moon where she lives ther ever since. They say that you might see her dancing on the moon during the Moon Festival.
The Moon Festival is a chinese culture and a holiday that bring families together where ever it is possible.
